Storyline

Dwayne McLaren has been looking for a way out of his small town upbringing of CUT BANK, MT since he graduated high school several years earlier. When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, he jumps at a chance to pursue a better life in a bigger city with his girlfriend Cassandra. But luck doesn't exist in Cut Bank, and this perceived good fortune is quickly followed by a flood of bad karma. A young man's life is unraveled after witnessing a murder that he filmed in his rural town of Cut Bank.

The screenplay for CUT BANK made the 2009 black list as one of the best un-produced screenplays in Hollywood. Cut Bank took two years to film and it was filmed in Edmonton, AB and Innisfree, AB. Teresa Palmer's second movie with actor Liam Hemsworth ( love and honor) and actor John Malkovich ( warm bodies). Not only is this the second time that Teresa Palmer and Liam Hemsworth have starred together, the previous being "Love and Honor", she has also acted alongside Liam's older brother, Luke Hemsworth, in the film "Kill Me Three Times".

This was a fun movie. I like everyone in it, which is why I watched it. Teresa Palmer was the big draw for me, but she wasn't in it a lot, more as movie dressing than anything else. Too bad, because she's a very good actress. Still, I'll watch anything with her. Liam Hemsworth usually puts out good movies, and with the supporting cast of Billy Bob Thornton and John Malcovich, the cast sold the movie.

The storyline was interesting, however, I caught the mid-movie twist rather early on. Still, that's fine. One thing about the movie I didn't like was the title. I almost passed on it because the title sounded like some very low-budget indie. They really should change it at least to Cut Bank Murders.

I recommend. I gave this a 7-star rating. The cast itself is worth it, and as I said earlier, the storyline was fun. The killer was...psychotic. lol. "I just want my p-p-parcel."
